Twenty years from now, as Americans struggle to stay afloat in an increasingly volatile economy, a new technology emerges, allowing everyday people to rent out a portion of their brain’s processing power to a company called MindShare. All in Your Mind follows the eccentric leaders of the MindShare Oppositional Action network, an organization that opposes widespread use of the technology due to its adverse effects. However, when the group meets Lucy, an artificial intelligence who’s new in town, they begin to lose sight of their priorities as their fight against MindShare escalates.

All in Your Mind is a musical with book by Joey Birdsong and music by Jake Berran and Jacob Richter. The musical was first produced by the Oberlin Student Theater Association in April 2024 at Oberlin College.
